Road Trip... Ohio, New York and back!

So the summer has begun and I am still living in Olympia right outside my school, Evergreen. I worked very hard and was lucky enough to get a job at the school for RAD services. (Residential and Dining Services) I basically just clean the housing and school grounds everyday for 5 days a week. It can be very repeditive but I love all the kids I'm working with and I have fun even when I am cleaning up after freshman and campers! So I have decided to work all summer except for two weeks where I had planned a trip to go to Ohio and New York with my best bud Andy.

My journey first started when I flew into Columbus Ohio where my friend Andy picked me up and took me back to where he grew up, Yellow Springs, Ohio. I got to meet his family, explore the town, and hang out with some of Andy's friends. We also went sailing which was my first time and it was so great and relaxing I defiantly recommend going sailing its amazing. Then we headed back up to Columbus where Andy and some friends and I went to a Ghostland Observatory (this is a band) Concert. It was great music and a lot of fun dancing! The next day we headed back to Yellow Springs to prepare for our trip to New York!!! So were off, we left early in the morning because the drive was 9 hours long and we wanted to be able to get settle in. While there we stayed with Andy's friend Abeo who was a great host and showed us all around town. We explored all of Manhattan from Harlem, to Times Square, to SoHo, to Chinatown, to Central Park. We even headed to New Jersey to watch the fireworks on top of our friends Basie's roof overlooking the Hudson River. There was so much to do and many beautiful sites. Some of my favorite events were Central Park was beautiful and very green, the one dollar pizza was delicious and quick, and the grand Natural History Museum was sooo cool. To see all the actually size animals was my favorite part! Abeo took us to many local spots as well and i actually started to learn the subway system which was fun. After our 5 Days in New York Andy and I headed back to Ohio, but this time we headed to my cottage in Port Clinton Catawba Island. We went there to hit up the famous Cedar Point!!! It was great I got to see my little cousin Brenna and family. Plus we got to spend a great day at Cedar Point. The next day Andy drove me back to the airport to catch my flight back Seattle. So over all this vacation was amazing with many new first for me. I loved every minute of it and can't wait to save up money again and travel more!!!
